We are happy to announce that our Creative Director Ghislaine Boddington will be the keynote speaker of The (Cultural) Life of the Child Summit on June 18th in Derby.
Following on from The Mighty Creatives’ inspiring summits focussed on the Early and Primary Years, the next event in this series – Summit #3: The Secondary Years (11-18) is now taking place. The (Cultural) Life of the Child Summits bring together children’s service leaders, practitioners and educators from across the East Midlands and nationally to look at what makes a #goodchildhood. The summits will identify what children and young people need and how professionals from different sectors can work together to improve opportunities and outcomes.
The Mighty Creatives’ ambition is to create a meaningful system or blueprint that transforms what our children’s future looks like; to find better ways of working and living together with more effective co-ordination and collaboration across and between local government, arts and culture, health and education sectors.
Speaking about her involvement in the summit series, Ghislaine said: “I’m excited to be involved in this imperative debate to encourage an holistic approach to the future of the cultural sector’s integration into childhood. The shift change for younger generations linked to the digital revolution needs to be understood through intergenerational exchange and cross sector collaboration and this event will help us all understand deeper ways to enable this.”
